Dr. Frank Spear is the co-founder and director of Spear Education in Scottsdale, Arizona, where his Facially Generated Treatment Planning methodology forms the foundation of the organization's interdisciplinary curriculum. He earned his dental degree from the University of Washington in 1979 and an M.S.D. in periodontal prosthodontics in 1982, and serves as an affiliate professor in the university's graduate prosthodontics program. Now retired from clinical dentistry, he founded Seattle's Spear Aesthetics, which continues under his name. His honors include the Christensen Award for Excellence in Restorative Education and the Charles Pincus–Ronald Goldstein Lifetime Achievement Award in Esthetic Dentistry.
